The Unwritten Letters Project works to empower others by providing a safe, judgment free outlet that encourages participants to articulate, heal from, and overcome hardships.

My name is Alex Boles, and I am the founder of the Unwritten Letters Project. The pages of my diary and the letters scattered in notebooks, stationary and on various napkins consisted of the torments of my young adult/teenage years -- being an overweight, yet outgoing teen trying desperately to fit in and be recognized. Bullying was like breathing, something I dealt with every day. Although it gave me the inspiration to want to make a difference in the world, others are not as willing to see these circumstances as something to overcome and remain stronger for, most bullied kids and teens only see this as a recognition of unworthiness and a reason to let go. It is my personal goal to make an impact on the bullied and the bullies to make them know that every person is worthy of their own life, their own voice, and the action to take is to share your voice in any creative way imaginable. Write! Act! Draw! Paint! Speak up for yourself and take ownership of your circumstances. Use this website and our resources to overcome any obstacles and become the stronger person you and I both know you are.
